Join Liquid Lemn
Own your stripes with a team that is reimagining Afro-futurist, gender-fluid fashion from Nairobi.
At Liquid Lemn, queer artisans, storytellers and operators co-create ethical collections that centre East African textiles, community and bold self-expression.
Location: Nairobi, Kenya (only hiring talent based in Nairobi or relocating here)
About Liquid Lemn As Employer
Liquid Lemn is an Afro-futurist fashion house using East African textiles to unlock the potential of non-binary, gender-fluid wear.
From Nairobi-based ateliers to digital launches, every drop, shoot and collab is built with a small, ambitious team that believes slow fashion can create fast impact.
Impact: Ethical production, living-wage collaborations, and mission-led storytelling that uplifts queer Kenyan makers.
Creativity: Space to experiment with cuts, shoots, campaigns and collabs that don’t fit traditional fashion boxes.
Growth: Work directly with the founder on strategy, launches, systems and expansion.
How We Work
Work primarily from our Nairobi studio, with occasional off-site days for shoots, markets and events.
Collaborate in person with queer, women and marginalized artisans who craft each piece locally in Nairobi.
Small team, big responsibility: You build systems, not just “help out”; if you love turning chaos into clear flows, you’ll thrive.
Project-based with potential to grow: Many collaborations start freelance and can grow into retainer or core-team roles as we scale new collections and markets.
Current Opportunities
We currently have no open roles listed, but we are always looking for talented creatives, producers and operators from Nairobi to join our team.
If you feel called to what Liquid Lemn is building, send an open pitch to Opportunities@liquidlemn.com:
• Share the problem you want to solve for us
• The skills you bring
• A concrete idea for the first 30 days
We review all pitches and will reach out if there’s a fit.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you hire outside Nairobi?
Right now, no. All roles require close collaboration with our Nairobi-based studio and artisans, so we only consider candidates in Nairobi or relocating here.
Can I apply from abroad?
You are welcome to send an open pitch if you plan to relocate to Nairobi, but active vacancies are prioritised for candidates already in the city.
